“A Journey of mile begins with a single step”. It gives me immense pleasure to write about our college Library. Through my note I wish to stress on the need of Reading and writing apart from the academic curriculum by our student community. Reading and Writing among other things expands our mental horizons and leads us to creative outburst.
Our college has been established in 2005?.. The college is affiliated to Punjab Technical University,Jalandhar.
Habit of purposeful reading, our library takes immense pride in providing a comfortable environment conducive to the purpose of amassing ‘higher’ knowledge. Catering to the needs of students our library has over 15519 books with 5180 on Engineering subjects. Wide range of Encyclopedias, Reference books etc . Table books enhance the process of learning. Various magazines and newspapers are also subscribed by the library. The general reference and advanced topics are also regularly upgraded to keep up with the dynamics of the world.
Our students also participated in various Inter-college competitions and made us proud by winning various prizes.

Library Details
Library Rules:
- Library membership is open to all the students of the Rayat Institute of Management.
- Library will remain open from Mondays to Saturday from 9.00 A.M to 4.00 P.M.All first year students are required to obtain their Library Tickets/ Identity Cards from the librarian within 15 days of joining the college. The same are to be retained by them throughout their tenure in the college.Members can borrow books from the library for a duration of 14 days.Books can be re-issued only if they are not in demand.An overdue charge of Rs. 5/- per volume per day will be charged for books retained beyond the due date.The Librarian may recall any book at any time, if necessity arises.In case any book is lost or damaged, borrower shall have to replace the same with the latest edition, failing which 2 times the current market prices of the book will be recovered from the borrower.Loss of the book/magazine must be reported immediately in writing to the Librarian and that too within the permissible period i.e. 14 days.
Readers and borrowers shall not write upon, damage or mark any book, periodical or map. Infringement of this may mean immediate replacement of the item.
Loss of Library Tickets/Identity Card should be reported immediately to the Librarian. However the borrower still remains responsible for the book issued on the same.
Anybody found taking the book outside the library without permission shall be debarred from enjoying the Library facilities and shall be severely punished.
The following timing will be strictly observed in the library:
1. Opening of the Library 8:55 A.M to 4:00 P.M
2. Issue/Return of books 9:30 A.M to 3:30 P.M
Digital Library is under progress for which a code will be issued to each student for on-line reading.
