Rules & Regulations

Eligibility & Registration

  • All students who expect to graduate from the Institute by the end of the current academic year and are seeking employment may register for campus placements with this office. Placement Registration is for ONE ACADEMIC YEAR ONLY.
  • Registration for all programmes will be done during the month of April (Every year).
  • Campus placement is the assistance provided for the students. Registration is not compulsory. Students not interested in placement are advised not to register for placement.
  • Students having backlog of 3 or more courses are not permitted to register for placement. Such students are advised to clear the backlogs and then register after the July-November end semester examinations.
  • Each registered student have to read the placement notices, company announcements and to submit resumes.

Resume

  • Students are advised to read the announcements made, go through the company website and apply only if interested.
  • Students are expected to follow the institute resume template available in the placement website for preparing the resumes.
  • The details of the resume have to be genuine and any student found violating this rule will be disallowed from the placement for the rest of the academic year.
  • Students have to submit their placement consent form along with resumes in the Training &placement department.DEADLINES WILL NOT BE EXTENDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
  • Students are advised to avoid last minute submission, as it may lead to delays and some may even be left out.

Pre-Placement Talks

  • Notices of the PPT will be published on the placement notice board well in advance. Students should occupy the venue 15-mintues before the scheduled start of the PPT.
  • Students interested in a particular company, must attend its PPT without fail.
  • Attendance will be taken and only those students who have attended a particular PPT will be eligible to apply for that company.
  • Any clarification regarding salary break-up, job profile, place of work, bond details etc. must be sought from the companies during PPT.
  • DRESS CODE: Students must be formally dressed whenever they participate in any interaction with a company including PPT. This office reserves the right to refuse permission to a student to attend the selection process / PPT, if they are not formally dressed.

Placement Process

    • It is the responsibility of the student to check announcements / notices / updated information / shortlisted names etc. in the notice boards of Placement Office / Website. Students are expected to be punctual.

Attendance & Punctuality:

      • A student who applies and gets shortlisted is bound to go through the entire selection process unless rejected midway by the company. Any student who withdraws deliberately in the middle of a selection process will be disallowed from placement for the rest of the academic year.
      • LATE COMERS FOR APTITUDE TEST / GD / INTERVIEW may not be allowed to appear for the selection process.

Discipline:

    • Students should maintain discipline and show ethical behavior in every action they take during the placement process. Any student found violating the discipline rules set by the company or defaming the institute name will be disallowed from the placements for the rest of the academic year.
    • Students found cheating or misbehaving in the selection process (PPT / Test / GD / Interview) will be disallowed from the placements for the rest of the academic year.

Job Offers

Pre Placement Offers:

      • The Placement Office has de-linked Pre-Placement Offers (PPO) from placements. Hence, students who have a PPO (that has not yet been accepted) will be allowed to register for placements. However, such students will be eligible to appear for placements only until the day on which the company (which has offered PPO) visits the campus.
      • The offer of PPO (by the company) and its acceptance (by the student) shall be through placement office only.
      • Once a student accepts PPO, he / she shall be de-registered from placement.

Multiple Offers: Each student is eligible for only one job offer.

    • If a student receives more than one offer in a session / day and if there is a delay in the announcement of results by some companies, the student is bound to accept the job offer of the company whose results are declared in time.
    • If the results are declared on the same session / day, the student may choose from the offers in hand and inform the placement office of his/her choice, within 24 hrs of announcement of results.
  • Every student who is selected by a company is out of placement thereafter i.e. deregistered from the placement website.
  • Release Of Offer: All companies are requested to release the Offer and hand over to this office within an hour after the completion of the recruitment process.
  • Offer Acceptance: The students should inform the acceptance of offer within 24 hours (on the day following the release of offer).
  • The company shall be intimated of the offer acceptance within three days of release of offer.
  • Offer Of Job: Announcement on the notice board will be considered as firm offer. Offers received from companies must be collected as per timings in circular / notice. The responsibility of going through the offer letter and taking actions therein such as submission of documents lies entirely with the student. All offers (made by the companies) shall be through this office only. This office will not be in a position to resolve problems, if any, that may arise with respect to offers made directly to the student by the company.

Miscellaneous

  • Joining Status:In case of students, who go for higher studies and hence decide not to join the company, should inform the company in writing at the earliest with the copy to Placement Office.
  • Identity Cards: Students must bring their identity cards with them whenever they go through a placement process.
  • For all matters not covered by the above regulations, the Placement Office will use its discretion to take appropriate decisions. The decision taken by this office shall be binding on all students/scholars.

22 students of Rayat Bahra Group, selected by Wipro Technologies in Placement drive held on 5th& 6th Sept, 2016. Wipro offering 3.50 Lakh p.a. package to the selected students.

 

Placement Drive by Capgemini

We are proud to announced that our 40 students of Rayat Bahra group have been selected Capgemini through the drive held on 8th and 9th Sept, 2016 at Rayat Bahra Group.Capgemini offering 3.15 Lakh p.a. package to the selected students.

 

Placement Drive by Data64

4 students from Rayat Bahra Ropar campus were selected at package of Rs 3.40 lakh by Data 64 for the position of “Digital Forensic Analyst”.

 

A Digital Forensic Analyst specializes in collection, examination, analysis and reporting of digital evidence. Package for this position is INR 1 Million. Data 64 is India’s #1 Cyber Crime Investigation Company. Data64 Cyber Solutions Pvt. Ltd provides services in cyber forensics and investigation. It is the first private organization in the world to offer complete forensic investigation & training services for cellular and mobile communication devices. Data 64 is a global leader in training in cyber crime investigation and cyber forensics. Assisted the Govt of India in framing rules under the Information Technology Act 2000. Handled over 7000 incidents of hacking and computer crime.

 

Placement Drive by Authbridge on 7th October, 2016 at Rayat Bahra University, Chandigarh for B. E. / B. Tech (Electronics & Communication Engineering, computer science engineering, Information technology branches) and MBA Batch 2017 pass out students.

 

10 students of Rayat Bahra group were selected at package of Rs 2.50 lakh p.a. by Authbridge for the position of “Associate – Client Account Team (Account Executive)/ Process Specialist/ Verification Associate”.

Polytechnic Naukri Mela at RPC on June 13th, 2017

Rayat Polytechnic College, Ropar successfully organised a mega job fair, ‘Naukari Mela 2017’ for diploma holdersat Ropar campus on 13th June, 2017.Through the job fair, the Rayat-Bahra group provided a platform to students of Punjab so that they might find placements in reputed companies and can make their career. Over 30 companies from region namely Deltron, Micromax, Bajaj Motors, Mitsuba Sical, Sentiss Pharma, Eicher tractors, Satyam Auto components and many others participated in the fair.

Over 400 students from various reputed colleges of Punjab participated in the job fair. The company shortlisted students through process of written test and interview. By recruitment efforts of Rayat-Bahra group, companies selected over 200 students of Rayat Polytechnic college bagged the top honours in the recruitment process. Overall 147 get placed with average package of 2.40 lacs per annum.
