Overview:
Bahra College of Law is established in 2015 under the aegis of globally renowned Rayat Group of Institutions. The premier institute of law is affiliated to the Punjabi University, Patiala-147001 (Punjab) and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. This institute is a progressive academic community with a commitment of preparing students especially belonging to the Malwa region of Punjab, for competition in Judiciary, Academia, Corporate World and Government jobs.

The faculty of the institute is well qualified as per Punjabi University/UGC rules and regulations. The faculty is also expertise in legal matters and having a sincere enthusiasm for providing distinct and challenging professional education to their students. A meticulously designed curriculum is prepared from top professionals and academic bodies to nurture the students for competitive examinations and to enhance the proficiency in professional skills of students.

Guest lectures by the eminent personalities from legal fraternity as well as organize workshops and seminars along with periodical visits to District Courts, High Courts, Supreme Court and other institutes of administrative of justice.

S. Nirmal Singh Rayat, the Chairman fo the college of a great philanthropist and a man of extraordinary vision. This vision of his has been translated into practical reality through the establishment of various educational institutions; he has set up including the Bahra College of Law. His vision for the law college is to provide excellence in legal education and to provide quality lawyers with good moral principles and great human values.

OTHER FACILITIES:

Library:
A state of art facilities are provided to the law students. Library is enriched with about 5000 Law books authored by eminent scholars/legal luminaries, reputed Law journals, A.I.R, Criminal Law Journal, Supreme Court Cases, Current Central Legislations, Indian Bar Review and Hindu Law Reporter etc.

Moot Court Hall:
Fully air conditioned and specious Moot Court Hall is provided to conduct the Moot Courts and Seminars etc. in the college campus.

Infrastructure:
Elegant smart class rooms/seminar room and separate common rooms for boys and girls are provided to the students. Separate bathrooms and toilets for the boys and girls are also available. Water cooler fitted with R.O. facilities are also provided to the students.

Hostel:
Hostel rooms for boys and girls equipped with air coolers are available with proper facilities of Indoor games and dining facilities of mess are proved to the students.

Sports:
A spacious and open play ground having facilities of games like Volleyball, Football, Hockey and Indoor games facilities are also proved to the students.

• All students of Law Department are eligible to participate in the debate.

• Interested students must submit their names to Ms. Jasleen Kaur Atwal by 21 March, 2022

• E-certificates will be given to all participants.

• The participants can speak in any language of their choice-English, Punjabi or Hindi.

• The participants will be required to speak either in favour or against the topic for atleast 5 minutes.

• The speech will be followed by cross questions from other participants.

• The participants will be assessed on the strength of their arguments and counter arguments, speaking skills and capacity to answer cross questions.
