About RCE
Rayat College of Education which was established in 2003 with 100 seats at village Railmajra in Ropar is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and approved by NCTE. The college offers three courses—B.Ed. with a total intake of 200 seats (since 2008) M.Ed. with a total intake of 35 seats (since 2008), and E.T.T. with a total intake of 50 seats. The institute unfolds, develops and utilizes student’s potential to groom teachers and teacher educators of tomorrow, who are committed, competent and compassionate citizens
At present, Principal, Dr. Jagdeep Kaur is assisted by a team of 23 faculty members; out of them 5 are PhDs and 2 with M.Phil. Degrees.7 of the staff members are pursuing PhD. There are 4 non-teaching staff and 2 administrative staff members. The faculty is qualified as per norms of Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The Institute offers 13 teaching subjects like teaching of Languages (English, Hindi and Punjabi), Social Studies, Science, Mathematics, Physical Education, Economics, Fine Arts, Music, Home Science, Commerce and Computer Science in B.Ed. In M.Ed,4optional subjects are offered along with the foundation courses.
We at Rayat College of Education always try to provide every best opportunity for quality education, with a team of highly intellectual and scholars who have been working for the last 10 years to provide the excellent service in the field of education.
